TRUE LOVE

I Corinthians 13:1-3

I. (v.1) LOVE GIVES GENUINE VALUE TO OUR WORDS

1. If I speak with the greatest eloquence
2. Without love, I am nothing but noise

1. Tongues of men
2. Tongues of angels

II. (v.2) LOVE GIVES GENUINE VALUE TO OUR GIFTS

1. If I possess the greatest gifts
2. Without love, I am nothing

1. Prophecy
2. Understanding and knowledge
3. Faith

III. (v.3) LOVE GIVES GENUINE VALUE TO OUR ACTIONS

1. If I perform the greatest action
2. Without love, it profits me nothing

1. Benevolence
2. Martyrdom

Conclusion: True love is found in our Lord Jesus Christ

1. He gives us His words in love
2. He gives us His gifts in love
3. He acts in love
