I Thessalonians 4:1-8

I.  (v.2-6a) THE BASIS OF OUR MORAL PURITY

     This is the will of God . . .

1. (v.3) Abstain from sexual immorality
2. (v.4-5) Control your body
3. (v.6a) Don’t use others to fulfill your sinful passions

1. Stated positively
2. Stated negatively

1. Possess your body in holiness
2. Possess your body in honor

II.  (v.6b-7) THE MOTIVATION FOR OUR MORAL PURITY

1. God’s consequences
2. God’s calling

Conclusion: v.8 “therefore he who rejects this does not reject man, but God . . .”
