I. (v.14-16) THE CERTAINTY OF OUR POSITION AS A CHILD OF GOD

1. The experience of becoming a child of God
2. The evidence of becoming a child of God

1. (v.15) It is a definite act in the past
2. (v.14b,16b) It is a definite state in the present

*Romans 8:9 – when we become a child of God, His Holy Spirit enters us, and there are effects:

1. (v.14a) You are led by the Spirit of God
2. (v.16) You are assured by the Spirit of God

II. (v.15a,17-18) THE PRIVILEGES OF OUR POSITION AS A CHILD OF GOD

1. (v.15a) An intimate relationship
2. (v.17a) A secure inheritance
3. (v.17b-18) A glorious future

Conclusion: Are you a child of the King? Are you SURE?
