GOOD NEWS!

Luke 4:16-30

I. (v.16) CHRIST, THE PERFECT MAN

The GOOD NEWS is He understands our needs

1. (John 1:14a) “The Word became flesh”
2. (John 1:14b) “And dwelt among us”

II. (v.17-19) CHRIST, THE COMPASSIONATE MINISTER

The GOOD NEWS is He is able to meet our needs

1. To the poor He came to give hope
2. To the brokenhearted He came to give healing
3. To the captives He came to give deliverance
4. To the blind He came to give sight
5. To the oppressed He came to give liberty
6. To mankind He came to give grace

III. (v.20-30) CHRIST, THE PROMISED MESSIAH

The GOOD NEWS is He is available to all who believe

1. (v.20-21) His claim to be the Messiah
2. (v.22-27) His challenge as the Messiah
3. (v.28-30) The reaction to the Messiah
