I.  WHAT HE WANTS HIS DISCIPLES TO KNOW

1. From man’s perspective – an apparent display of defeat
2. From God’s perspective – an awesome display of victory

1. (v.28) He would return to His glory
2. (v.29) He would fulfill His word
3. (v.30) He would defeat His enemy
4. (v.31) He would demonstrate His love

II.  HOW HE WANTS HIS DISCIPLES TO RESPOND

1. (v.28) He wants us to rejoice
2. (v.29) He wants us to believe
