1. The word of man is not reliable
2. The Word of God is absolutely reliable

1. It is inspired
2. It is effective

1. Jesus Christ fulfilled the Old Testament – prophecies, pictures, principles
2. Jesus Christ authorized the New Testament – He chose and empowered apostles

II.  OUR RESPONSIBILITY TO GOD’S WORD

1. Hear it
2. Receive it
3. Believe it
