ARE YOU “IN CHRIST”?

Romans 5:12-21

 I.  (v.12-14) THE CONSEQUENCES OF ADAM’S FALL

 

A.      Sin entered the world

B.      Sin passed upon all men

C.      Sin was the carrier of death

II.  (v.15-21) THE CONTRAST BETWEEN ADAM AND CHRIST

A.      (v.15) In Adam, one man’s sin affected many.  In Christ, one man’s grace affects many.

B.      (v.16,18) In Adam, one offense brought condemnation.  In Christ, many offenses receive justification.

C.      (v.17) In Adam, there is certainty of death.  In Christ, there is certainty of life.

D.     (v.19) In Adam, we are made sinners.  In Christ, we are made righteous.

E.      (v.20) In Adam, the law reveals sin.  In Christ, grace forgives sin.

F.       (v.21) In Adam, sin reigns unto death.  In Christ, grace reigns unto eternal life.

How do we get in Christ? By being born again (John 3:1-8)
